Do you want to supervise young people on climbing activities?
If so come along to this training evening. There will be an opportunity for experienced Adults to be assessed to take young people climbing on artificial walls

National Governing Body Awards

Single Pitch Award
  • For those who wish to supervise a group on single pitch crags and climbing walls.
  • Covers such skills as choice of venue, rope management, correct use of equipment, group management, emergency procedures, crag etiquette, access and conservation.
  • Between training and assessment candidates are expected to gain extensive supervisory and personal climbing experience. Every opportunity should be taken to practise the skills learned during training.
  • SPA training courses last a minimum of two days or twenty hours.
  • SPA assessment courses are run over two days.
